Rylan saw some girls selling homemade lemonade in Bondi and after pitching the idea to mum together they decided to sell cupcakes out the front of their home on January 11 said mum Sian Ryan.
"Rylan has been very concerned about the fires especially when they were closer to our home at the end of last year," Ms Ryan said.
"He really wanted to do something to help and after seeing girls selling lemonade wanted for RFS in Bondi wanted to do something similar.
"We ended up making cupcakes and selling them to people passing by and in an afternoon Rylan and his little brother Kai, 3 raised $150.10."
The boys were really happy with that amount and so personally delivered the money to the volunteers at Lorne RFS on Tuesday, January 14.
"The guys at the station were really great with Rylan and Kai," she said.
"They let them go in the fire truck and have a look around the station which was really lovely."
Ray Scott from Lorne RFS said they were "blown away" by the donation.
"It certainly puts a lump in your throat knowing the little fellas wanted to help us," Mr Scott said.
"We were thrilled when we found out what they had done and the effort they had gone to in order to raise the money.
"We are a small station and all the boys were chuffed to think the little fellas wanted to come and personally give the money to us."
