How fantastic to see local business joining in the summer holiday spirit with innovative ideas capturing people's attention such as The Dunbogan Boatsheds ice cream parlour and novel fish feeding station, continuous entertainment at Oasis by the River, the two major clubs offering lots for tourist and locals alike.
Let's not forget our fantastic retailers with special mention to the Laurieton Mall who have been successful in generating business through innovative Christmas attractions and great use of Facebook.
Our accommodation operators also did a great job on sharing positive images of our area ensuring visitors knew the Camden Haven is still a beautiful "majikal" place to visit and enjoy.
With positivity and continued growth for our area in mind, the chambers of commerce in our region met last week to develop a consistent regional message to overcome a potential perception that our region is not doing so well.
Keep your eyes peeled for marketing and advertising campaigns ensuring our positive reality is known across Australia.
The Camden Haven is becoming known as a 'goldilocks' town, not too big and not too small for innovation and community engagement. In line with this, the Chamber committee is currently exploring how our community could benefit from innovative smart technologies, eco-friendly practices and of course revitalisation options for Bold Street.
We are also holding a "Share the Love" event in partnership with the Camden Haven Show Society on the February 18 for all community groups to share their ideas and projects for 2020 amongst each other.
