The day was organised by the Hastings Neighbourhood Service Lake Cathie to promote the community hub and to bring the community together.
Kate Norgate hosted the street library stand and said the library had been a great addition to the local community.
"The library is located on Abel Tasman Drive and there is always a different selection of books available," Mrs Norgate said.
"The books are always changing and it is such a great way that people can share their passion for reading and also recycle their books so someone else can enjoy them."
Organiser Brendan Woollam said it had been a great day for everyone.
"The weather has been perfect and we are thrilled to have so many people turn out to the Community Hub to see all the services available at the community hub," Mr Woollam said.
"A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the day great and to all the services who came and hosted a stall.
"This is just the start of what is to come at the community hub so stay tuned in the coming weeks and months for fun things to join and and do."
