As a resident of many years, I am disgusted to learn of meeting going on with council not including those that are involved in the community.

The lake is an important part of Lake Cathie that once used to be blue and filled with fish, stingrays and an abundance of prawns not forgetting the birds and wildlife that called the lake home.
A place as highlighted in Port Macquarie 'Eat See Do' visitors guide Page 7.
Lake Cathie with is beautiful lake lagoon and beaches, a perfect spot to spend the day relaxing with friends and family certainly got that wrong not fit for swimming in what water is left.
For everyone's sake we need to open it to the ocean.
Listen to the people, no one can use their boats as tinnie races cancelled and the lake continues to die.
Look into the puddles and you will see stingrays and dead fish. What a waste of money the fishing platform was, throw a line into the dirt.
I fail to see why council has let our lake deteriorate to such an extent, never ever been so dry and smelly.
Look after the environment so the visitors to see.
Help our small businesses, council has forgotten us at Lake Cathie who would be struggling same as our lake.
This council cannot see what we look at everyday never been left so long. It's not as if the sea wasn't there, open it. What more do we have to do to get something done. Its an environmental disaster!
PS thanks to Santa Ron over Christmas for still putting smiles on faces.
