As part of a nation-wide Get Your Racquet On campaign the club is encouraging people who used to play tennis or want to take up the sport to come and have a hit.
A number of clubs in the region are taking up the campaign with Lake Cathie starting on January 29 for six consecutive weeks.
Leon Norgate from Lake Cathie Tennis Club said it was a great opportunity for everyone to get back into the sport.
"This six week opportunity is a great chance for people who have been thinking about getting back into the sport to do it or who played as a youngster and want to have a go again," Mr Norgate said.
"You don't have to sign up for a season competition or anything like that it is just a chance to enjoy the sport.
"We will be having friendly rallies and a few skills but it is just a chance for people to reignite their love for tennis."
