As the primary emergency service on the water, Marine Rescue caution all watercraft users take their time when heading out.
Marine Rescue Camden Haven unit commander Ken Rutledge said the team will be working over the break ready to respond when necessary.
"Our hard working volunteers will be keeping watch, poised to respond to emergencies on the water," Mr Rutledge said.
"Our key message is if you are in a boat to have a lifejacket on and to radio in to us via channel 16 and log on."
Mr Rutledge said the Camden Haven unit has two search and rescue vessels which can be deployed to help in the case of an emergency.
"We have been very active over the holidays but things have been quite due to the bushfires and strong winds. If the weather is great we are expecting a busy weekend with the public holiday on Monday."
