Drug kingpin Tony Mokbel's nephew has avoided jail after winning an appeal for gun and driving offences.

Anthony Mokbel was last year handed an eight-month jail term and a $1000 fine for possessing a loaded revolver and cannabis as well as driving while suspended in Melbourne.
On Friday, the 24-year-old was re-sentenced in the County Court of Victoria to an 18-month community correction order, with 250 hours of unpaid work.
His fine for drug possession was also slashed to $500.
The son of Tony Mokbel's brother Horty was caught driving four times while suspended last August and September.
Police also found a loaded and unregistered .32-calibre revolver as well as a small amount of cannabis at his suburban Melbourne home the following month.
Mokbel was jailed for eight months by a magistrate, but released on bail immediately as he challenged the punishment.
In setting aside the original punishment, Judge Michael Tinney warned Mokbel he would not have any more chances.
"If you breach this order you come back in front of me. You don't want to see me again and I don't want to see you again," the judge said.
"Breach this order and you go to prison."
