The Laurieton Multisport Challenge in on again in 2020 and nominations are already open for the March 29 event.
The kayak, run and bike challenge is a great way to enjoy the outdoors while raising much needed funds for the Creek to Creek project.
Creek to Creek is a community group where volunteers have banded together to restore and renovate the Queens Lake trail which, once complete will join in with the Schools to Schools and Beach to Beach projects.
Creek to Creek president and organiser of the challenge, Peter Nash said competitors will enjoy the off-road event, which features areas of national park, state forest and crown land.
"If you love the outdoors, have a genuine passion for fun and adventure and want to push yourself to new limits then this is the event for you," he said.
"It is our major fundraiser and this event will help fund the environmental impact statement which will take the trail an extra 1.2kms to connect with Stingray Bridge."
Mr Nash said in 2020 the event has added two new sections to the event where people can take part in a separate five or 10km run around Queenslake.
"The additional extras we have added this year will showcase the proposed route for Queenslake parkrun which is something else we are trying to get started," he said.
"Registrations have now opened as will close just before the event."
People can enter the event as individuals or participate in a relay team of three members.
