David was a very private person, however at the same time he was a person who generously gave himself to others.
He regularly attended and faithfully served the people at St Peters Catholic Church, Camden Haven Anglican Church and Laurieton's own 'Community at Three'.
Our community extends love and sympathy to David's siblings Leo, Ron, Trish and Margaret.
We thank the Laurieton United Services Club for kindly allowing their facilities to be used for a formal remembrance of David.
We thank you, the wider community, for your openness in welcoming David into this community.
This was his home for his last five years and it was truly inspiring to see so many welcome David into their space.
David may have been 'house-less' but because of this welcome, he was never 'homeless'.
David wrestled with life, and his internal challenges were great, but he was also gentle, intelligent, loving, wise and concerned for all people.
Those who knew him loved him and will miss him. Laurieton will be a poorer place without him.
He trusted Jesus and so we trust he is now in God's everlasting arms.
David's funeral service will be 10am on Tuesday, February 18 at Manning Great Lakes Memorial Gardens, 183 Pampoolah Road, Pampoolah.
