The Port Macquarie event starts at 6pm.
Cancer Connect is an ideal opportunity to join us for a conversation about cancer in the community and to learn about current cancer research and immunotherapies.
It is also an opportunity to participate in a question and answer segment and to connect with your local Cancer Council team.
On of the guest speakers is cancer researcher Dr Eleanora Feletto PhD.
Dr Feletto currently works at Cancer Council NSW where she is focusing on prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer in Australia.
Another speaker is Cancer Care coordinator and clinical nurse consultant Ken Procter, from the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute whose focus is immunotherapy.
Immunotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that helps the body's immune system fight cancer.
It does this by boosting the immune system to work harder so it can find and attack cancer cells.
If you would like to come along, although tickets are free, you are required to book.
Simply go online to www.trybooking.com/BIBXD or phone the Coffs Harbour Office on 6659 8400.
Light refreshments will be available.
