Held this year on March 9, the breakfast at the Laurieton United Services Club (LUSC) will be a chance for the community to come together and recognise the strength of our local women.
Hosted by Quota International Camden Haven, Camden Haven High School and the CWA, organiser Barbara Jackson said the breakfast will be an event not to miss.
"International Women's Day is a chance for us all to pause and celebrate the achievements of the women around us," Mrs Jackson said.
"Quota is partnering with Camden Haven High School and their student leaders along with the CWA and of course LUSC.
"We are also having a very special guest speaker who will talk to use about her life experiences helping people all over the world."
The breakfast will begin at 7am and tickets are $20 which must be purchased beforehand.
This year the guest speaker will be Brittani Michelle who has voyaged to the developing world helping women, children and communities in some of the most impoverished regions in Africa, India and Nepal.
International Women's Day has always been a significant day for me," Ms Michelle said.
"Not only is it a chance to self reflect and celebrate our own individual strengths and achievements but it's a reminder to all women how much power we have when we unite together.
"International Women's Day for me is about celebrating our individualism and standing together to encourage positive growth, and together to strive for equality as a global movement.
Overall it's a day to celebrate all women, raise awareness and take action towards gender inequality."
