Students aged seven to 12 will be able to take part in one hour of rugby activities at 3.20pm after school, under the plan by Rugby League NSW initiative.
The program will run for one day a week, for six weeks and parents will be able to use ActiveKids vouchers as payment.
Rugby League game development officer for Port Macquarie, Lee Wood said the after school program will help involve students with limited rugby experience.
"The after-school program is just a really good opportunity for those students that want to get involved in football but don't necessarily have the experience. It's an easy way in," he said.
"We have ball skills games but also activities that can get more advanced if kids are already playing.
"We know this school (North Haven Public School) is very football orientated and we love that. We have programs in Wauchope, Laurieton, Kempsey and Port Macquarie."
