The night time musical spectacular will be held from 6pm on Saturday, March 14. The event is 'fun raising' for local forest activist group, No Electricity From Forests.
All three women feel strongly about the dramatic acceleration of logging in our State forests, at a time when scientists are urging countries to preserve native forests to combat climate change.
Well-loved musician, singing teacher and choir director Rose Wilson encourages members of the public to support the Hastings environment, particularly after a severe bushfire season.
"It seems crazy that logging has started up again in our State forests," she said.
"Just when we need to hang on to what's left for our surviving flora and fauna after those devastating fires."
From 6pm guests can eat and drink the night away as they listen to live music, join in a quiz and raffle, and hear updates on our local forests.
Tea, coffee, cakes and savoury platters will be available for purchase.
A NEFF spokesperson said the group organised the 'Fun Raiser' because having fun with like-minded people is the perfect antidote for those climate change blues.
The event will be held at the Kendall Community hall on Saturday March 14 from 6pm to 9.30pm. Entry is $10, with kids under 14 free. To book a table or for further enquiries, email Jane at avocadofool@hotmail.com.
