He is a male looking for a very special home because he is FIV positive. This condition - feline immunodeficiency virus - attacks the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to many other infections.
For this reason he will need to be an indoor only cat, to keep him and other cats around the neighbourhood safe.
This also means he will also need to be the only cat in the home unless the existing cat is also FIV positive.
Providing Zeke avoids secondary infection, it is not uncommon for cats with his condition to live up to 12 years.
Zeke is a friendly and affectionate cat, but he would prefer his new family members to be older as he doesn't like being handled too much.
That doesn't mean he isn't up for pats and chin scratches while on the floor.
If you are looking to adopt two cats, Zeke does have a brother -Tuppins - who can be rehomed with him.
Zeke is desexed, micro-chipped, vet checked, vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and litter trained.
The brothers are at the RSPCA shelter at 10 Karungi Crescent, Port Macquarie. The shelter is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and all weekend from 10am until 3.30pm and is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as public holidays. You can call 6581 0380 for more details.
