Bonny Hills-Lake Cathie Junior Cricket Club completed the works at North Haven Public School during the year including a new widened pitch added to the oval, the cricket nets area were also upgraded and made synthetic.
The upgrades were supported by North Haven Public School, Cricket Australia and NSW Government Local Sports Grants.
Club junior cricket coordinator Barry Spencer said the work was completed earlier this year.
"We want to give recognition because the school have been very supportive and helpful in allowing us to use their facilities for cricket," he said.
"Between us and Camden Haven we work closely together to form teams so the kids get a decent hit. We put a combined under 11s team in last year but we're not sure how it will unfold this year.
"There is likely to be two under 12s, an under 11s and two under 10s teams this year. There are a fair few registered but still many unknowns in the lead up to the season.
"The season for most junior competitions is starting during the first week back at school and the under 10s are in the first week of November.
"In the first three weeks of term we are encouraging kids to attend a free come-and-try at Wayne Richards park in Port Macqaurie from Friday, October 16."
Prospective junior cricket players have been encouraged to register online through playcricket.com.au as soon as possible if they are planning to play this coming season.
This season is expected to have two under 10s competitions on Friday evenings from 5.30pm to 6.45pm and Saturday mornings from 8.30am to 9.45am.
The under 11s and under 12s will play on Saturday mornings from around 8.30am to 10.30am. All competitions will be mixed with boys and girls playing.
