Organisers of this year's pink ride for breast cancer have embraced a new route for the Port Macquarie-Hastings.
The event is on Sunday, October 18.
The annual ride is used to raise awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Participants are encouraged to register online for this year's event.
The 2020 event will commence from the Royal Hotel Kew on Sunday at 9am before heading south to The Lakeside Tavern at Forster.
Participants are encouraged to dress their motorbike or vehicle in pink for a planned fun day of fundraising.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation has a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
About 55 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.
However, the fundraising efforts of the community appear to be effective: since the National Breast Cancer Foundation started funding in 1994, the five year survival rate has improved from 76 per cent to 91 per cent.
Men and women can be diagnosed with breast cancer so it is vital that the entire community supports the fundraising effort.
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. Its incidence is increasing - with one in seven Australian women and one in 675 Australian men expected to be diagnosed.
To register for the ride go to the Facebook page Ride for Pink 2020.
