While we've been focused on delivering the day-to-day projects and initiatives that keep our community ticking, you may have heard me talk about the work we're also doing in planning for our future, we call this Think 2050.

Developing our community future plan is all about identifying what we love about our community, what we should change, and how we can overcome our challenges.
It's been a really exciting process, where we've been seeking the thoughts, ideas and feedback from everyone in our community about what our community might look like 30 years from now... from those of us that live, work, study, attend school or do business here, as well as those that visit our beautiful region.
There's been some really inspiring conversations going on through a series of information sessions, focus groups, a FUTUREThink Symposium and online surveys, and the great news is, that this Thursday we have the first of our community roundtable workshops.
Everyone's invited to this online interactive workshop where we'll be discussing the themes and visions that have been emerging from our future planning so far, and we'll be looking at creating our vision and building actions to move our future planning forward.
I'll be joining the online meeting from the comfort of my lounge chair, and hope that you too can join us as together we look to the future.
To register, visit our website... the meeting starts at 5.30pm.
Our community team really have done a wonderful job in speaking with people of all ages and corners of our region over the last 9 months, and whilst we've had to change our approach due to restrictions in having face-to-face chats, this has enabled more people to get involved and for that I thank you.
This is our community, and I really encourage you to have your say on our future... let's all Think 2050.
