The competition has tested the young minds of students at St Joseph's Port Macquarie, St Joseph's Wauchope and St Joseph's Laurieton.
The aim was to design a swinging paint pendulum and create an artwork.
The competition was held in two categories with students working in pairs to create their artworks.
The activity complemented the students' learning and engagement in science and technology where they were studying Physical World - Forces in Term 4 and it would also incorporate learning outcomes from the Creative Arts - Visual Arts curriculum.
"The students thoroughly enjoyed participating in the competition and it was amazing to see their hands on learning in action," teacher Sarah Blundell said.
The winners were each awarded a Micro:bit - a pocket-size computer that you can program and interact with.
Harrison Price, Jacob Bell and Alex Parrish from St Peter's won the stage 2 category and Nieve Dwyer and Charlotte McIntosh won the Stage 3 category.
