Members of the public were invited to guess the weight of a giant pumpkin outside the store earlier this year. Guesses cost a gold coin donation to the Camden Haven Community@3 charity, raising $820 in total.
The sizable produce was grown in Herons Creek by local plumber Jason McCarron and weighed when picked.
Mark Oswald won the event with an exact guess of 244kgs, runners up Rhys Kendall guessed 243.9kg and Joy Walker guessed 245kg. Mr Oswald declined the optional prize of a $100 Kew Corner Store voucher in favour of 30 free coffees.
Mr Andler said the store also celebrated their sixth anniversary on the final day of the competition.
"It was a great result I think and it was very close because we had one guy who guessed the weight but changed his answer to 243.9kg," he said.
"We had 52 guesses and raised $820. It was fantastic that the community rallied behind it as well, I think mainly it was local people guessing and a few travellers as well.
"I would love to see if we can encourage a giant pumpkin growing competition for next year and even have an incentive for the persons winning first, second and third in the growing competition."
The Camden Haven Community@3 helps people who are homeless, lonely or in financial difficulty. The group provides free barbecue events and support.
