Labor's raid on Perth's leafy western suburbs has continued with the Liberal stronghold of Nedlands falling for the first time in its 90-year history.

The neighbouring seat of Churchlands also looks set to fall, leaving the Liberals on track to win just two lower house seats.
Labor candidate Christine Tonkin has pulled ahead on preferences and leads by 214 votes with 85 per cent of the count completed.
Social worker Katrina Stratton has pulled off a remarkable victory in Nedlands which has never been held by Labor since its establishment in 1930.
The electorate is home to some of Perth's wealthiest voters and was held by former Liberal premiers Sir Charles Court and his son Richard.
Having also wrested control of the upper house, Labor is on track to win 53 out of 59 lower house seats, the Nationals four and the Liberals two.
Premier Mark McGowan said he had been advised by the state's solicitor-general that opposition status was determined by the number of lower house MPs, meaning Nationals leader Mia Davies will be the new opposition leader.
The opposition will retain its usual entitlements despite neither the Liberals or Nationals reaching a threshold of five lower house MPs.
"The resourcing that is available to the opposition will be made available no matter whether they are under official party status," Mr McGowan told reporters.
"We won't withdraw resources simply because they're under the threshold.
"This term, it looks like we'd give the resources to the Nationals party and they'd divide it with the Liberal party."
Labor also won former Nationals leader Terry Redman's southwest seat of Warren-Blackwood for the first time since its establishment in 1996.
Mr McGowan on Thursday revealed he will also serve as the state's treasurer in the government's second term, replacing the retired Ben Wyatt.
Deputy Premier Roger Cook will remain as health minister and Rita Saffioti will continue as transport and planning minister.
The premier, whose authority is unprecedented after such a crushing election victory, said he didn't want to change health ministers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Cook will take on the premier's state development, jobs and trade portfolios in a move that could groom him to eventually become treasurer.
The cabinet, including five new ministers, will be sworn in on Friday.
