The Australian government is backing volunteers in our communities with grants between $1000 and $5000 each to:
- purchase eligible small equipment items
- contribute to volunteers' fuel costs
- assist with the costs of training courses
- undertake background screening checks for volunteers.

Powering Communities Program
The Morrison government is focused on delivering affordable, reliable energy for all Australians.
The Powering Communities Program provides community organisations with funding for local energy saving projects that will lower power bills and help reduce Australia's emissions.
The program will fund up to 12 projects worth a total of $67,700 in each federal electorate.
Grants from $5000 to $12000 are available to support projects like:
- Installing solar panels or a battery
- Upgrade equipment to energy efficient models
- Replace lighting with energy efficient LEDs or conduct an energy audit

The Australian and NSW governments are looking ahead to the next stage of clean-up and recovery grants following the recent catastrophic storm and flood event, helping communities begin to rebuild and recover.
Small business recovery grants up to $50,000 and primary producer recovery grants up to $75,000 are available for eligible applicants who have suffered direct damage. Call Service NSW between 7am and 7pm, on 13 77 88.
