Volunteering comes in all shapes and sizes - from a casual 'yes I'll help at the local fete" through to a regular gig with the many community organisations who work tirelessly across our region.

The Australian government is backing volunteers in our communities with grants between $1000 and $5000 each to:

  • purchase eligible small equipment items
  • contribute to volunteers' fuel costs
  • assist with the costs of training courses
  • undertake background screening checks for volunteers.
