The improving Titans have plenty of reason for confidence, sitting in the top eight with a 3-2 record and facing a Sea Eagles team who are 1-4 after scraping to a much-needed win over the Warriors last week.

But coach Justin Holbrook says they're alert to threat for champion fullback Trbojevic, who'll be out to make up for lost time after missing the opening five rounds with a hamstring injury.

It will be only Trbojevic's 20th NRL match since the end of 2018 off the back of several injuries. The Sea Eagles have won just nine of 29 games without him since the start of 2019.

"Obviously he (Trbojevic) will give them a massive boost, I know how good of a player he is," Holbrook said.

"(Our plan is) definitely identifying him - he's without a doubt going to give them a huge lift, they haven't been playing as well as they would've liked."

The Titans are looking for more of the sort or performance they gave in hammering Newcastle by 26 points in round five.

Holbrook says their focus remains on their style of play, which is developing along with the maturity shown by giant young stars David Fifita and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui.

"We've got more of a team collective focus (than Manly) in the way they play, which in no way is right or wrong," said Holbrook.

"They've got a couple of really key guys and we're sort of a bit more relying a bit more on everybody."

"That's the great thing about Dave (Fifita) and Tino (Fa'asuamaleaui), they don't get too carried away with anything, which is terrific.

"Because if you expect that you're not going to get ahead of yourself or you don't get a big head or anything like that... they just expect to play well and that's terrific for us.

The Titans will be without Phillip Sami who suffered a head-knock last weekend with Holbrook opting for Jonus Pearson for his first start in 2021.
