The Hastings branch of the CWA is hosting an open day on June 3 at the Lake Cathie Hall in Mulloway Road.
The doors will be open from 1.30pm to 3.30pm for anyone wanting to explore if the CWA is an organisation they would like to be a part of.
The CWA is as relevant today as it was 100 years ago when it set up the first baby healthy centre in Moree.
Today, the CWA is instrumental in providing disaster relief for those affected by drought, bushfire and flood.
The CWA's main objective though, is to improve conditions for women and children.
Branches offer members opportunities for friendship and networking, social outings, learning new skills including handicraft and cooking, fundraising for local charities and being a voice to government.
There will be a market table and free afternoon tea available.
