Laurieton swimmers take on short course championships

The North Coast Short Course Swimming Championships were held at Lismore and Forster on May 29-30

At Lismore there were 113 individual swimmers and at Forster 179 with over 50 being visitors from surrounding areas.

The club point score was won by Coffs Harbour on 6687, Trinity Lismore on 6559 and Forster on 3786. Other clubs in the top 10 were Alstonville, Lismore Workers, Port Macquarie, Twin Towns, Laurieton, Stroud and Kingscliff.

Age champions are:

  • 10 Mia O'Reilly, Coffs Harbour; Justus Yardley, Coffs Harbour
  • 11 Sophie Scislo, Forster; William Bullpitt, Lismore Workers
  • 12 Zoe Farmer, Trinity Lismore; Boaz Yardley, Coffs Harbour
  • 13 Hannah Carmichael, Forster; Harrison Tancred, Forster
  • 14 Leah Pickvance, Macksville; Harry Kilburn, Trinity Lismore
  • 15 Beth Lockwood, Trinity Lismore; Bailey Whitton, Laurieton
  • 16 Sophie Mayes, Trinity Lismore; Braydon Lee, Forster
  • 17+ Zara Phillips, Port Macquarie; Nash Wilkes, Forster

Multi class champions are Ella Jones, Trinity Lismore and Morgan Jean, Wauchope.
