The new shop on Bold Street is specifically for members of the community who lost household items during the floods.
"We were given a cheaper lease by PRD Laurieton and we're very grateful that they were able to do that for us," Anglican Op-Shop coordinator flood recovery Yvette Attleir said.
"We are affiliated with the Anglican Op-Shop, but we opened to specifically help locals with the flood recovery."
The flood recovery premises has been operational for a few weeks and Yvette said they have had a positive response from locals.
"We have everything from furniture, household items, clothes and kitchen goods," she said.
"GIVIT have also been helping us source items that people need.
"We've had lots of people come through. Everything is free of charge for those who were impacted by the floods.
"We ask that people bring a list of items that they need and then they can sort through what we have and pick out their own clothes and items for their house."
Yvette said the community has been very supportive and have been donating items for the flood recovery.
"The community have been brilliant, we have had good quality items donated that are going to people in need," she said.
"Items that we do need more of are blankets or doonas and warm clothes."
Yvette said they are looking at being operational for the next six months.
"We're here for as long as we're needed. Other organisations in the community have been supporting us which has been great," she said.
"We're here to help."
The flood recovery Anglican Op-Shop is located at 57 Bold Street, Laurieton and is open on Tuesday and Thursday between 9am and 12pm.
