The first initiative under AUKUS is for Australia to acquire nuclear-powered submarine technology, leveraging decades of experience from the US and UK.

Under AUKUS, the three nations will focus immediately on identifying the optimal pathway to deliver at least eight nuclear-powered submarines for Australia which we intend to build in South Australia.

$472 million investment in Australia's health and medical research future

To further support Australia's world-leading medical researchers, the Morrison Joyce Government will invest almost half a billion dollars in funding for health and medical research.

Funded through the National Health and Medical Research Council, $471.9 million in funding will support hundreds of research leaders and teams around the country to undertake research that will ultimately save lives and make Australians healthier.

The Australian Government is providing $5 million to researchers at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne to find a new, effective and safe antibody treatment to combat COVID-19.

David Gillespie MP said with school holiday traffic on the roads again, this was a timely

reminder about taking extra care.

Well done to the iKew Visitor Information Centre staff who operate the Driver Reviver

service each school holidays on Nancy Bird Walton Drive. The roof of the centre's amenities

block will be upgraded with $25,000.
