Rotary is hosting the event in conjunction with the Port Macquarie Astronomy Association (PMAA) at Kew Country Club from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on November 6.
Attendees can book their free tickets through EventBrite to explore the cosmos at the educational family evening in the Camden Haven.
Rotary representative John Walker said food, drinks and astronomy goodies will be available for purchase at the evening.
"This event is organised by the Rotary Club of Laurieton as an educational family evening exploring the cosmos in the Camden Haven. Bring your torch and a telescope or binoculars if you have them," he said.
"The event is a fundraiser for the Port Macquarie Astronomy Association who have for many years delighted locals and visitors to the region with educational talks and hands-on fun in astronomy.
"Members of the Port Macquarie Astronomy Association will give short talks on what is visible in the night sky and how the plans for the new observatory and science centre that serve the region are progressing.
"Members will have telescopes for people to view the night sky."
