Australia secures additional supplies of COVID-19 treatments
The federal government has increased supplies of the promising COVID-19 treatment Sotrovimab with over 15,000 additional doses arriving in Australia over recent days.

Sotrovimab has been shown to reduce hospitalisation or death by 79 per cent in adults with mild to moderate COVID-19, who are at risk of developing severe COVID-19.
In addition, Australia will also have access to the new anti-viral treatment molnupiravir, subject to approval by the TGA, following the Government's deal to purchase 300,000 courses of the promising medication.
Molnupiravir is an oral antiviral that is being developed for the first-line treatment of COVID-19 in adult patients with mild-to-moderate symptoms.
Treatment with Molnupiravir has been shown to stop people with COVID-19 developing serious symptoms, keeping them out of hospital and preventing serious illness and death.
More than 50,000 home buyers enter the market under home guarantee scheme
