Mr Barr was asked why he would instead go to a café with his family at his daily press conference on Friday.
"The world doesn't revolve around beer and pubs and there's much more to life than that," Mr Barr replied.
"And there are many other businesses. So no, it's not me and the boys having a beer. Just doing something different."
It comes after Mr Perrottet avoided a fine when he was spotted breaching public health orders while drinking beer at a press conference on Monday.
NSW restrictions require people to sit down while drinking but Mr Perrottet and his colleagues each drank a beer while standing up at Watson's Pub in Moore Park before speaking to the media.
NSW Police said they applied "discretion" in deciding not to fine the Premier.
"Compliance with COVID-19 restrictions within a venue are the responsibility of the business owner/manager," NSW police said in a statement.
"In this instance, which was an organised media event before the venue opened to patrons, police have applied discretion.
"Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command have since spoken with the licensee and reminded him of his obligations under the Public Health Act."
Mr Perrottet and his colleagues collectively mentioned beer, or variations of the word, 11 times during the pub press conference on Monday.
The Premier kicked off the press conference by saying "there will be many young people pulling beers, probably better than Damien [Tudehope] just did".
Next up, Deputy Premier Paul Toole said: "The Premier was actually pretty tight when he was the treasurer".
"It was hard to get cash out of him. And he's told me today that he's going to shout everyone a beer if you're here after 11am this morning," Mr Toole said.
"And I'm going to call the beer today, the freedom frothy."
Newly appointed treasurer Matt Kean then encouraged NSW residents to "go down to your local pub and have a beer".
Meanwhile, Small Business Minister Damien Tudehope said: "We're having a beer here this morning and having fun".
Watson's Pub owner Michael Watson then said the first 100 customers would get a free schooner.
But since the politicians and Head of Business NSW Daniel Hunter shared five drinks prior to the press conference, one journalist asked if they counted as customers.
"We're down to 95, yeah," Mr Watson jokingly replied.
Mr Perrottet said the previous Premier Gladys Berejiklian was "here in spirit" to celebrate lockdown restrictions easing.
"You never know, Glad might even go out and have a beer herself tonight," he joked.
One journalist then asked the Premier if he has a comeback to Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews famous "get on the beers" quote now that he had spent time behind the bar.
"Well, I had a keg blow up in my face yesterday, so that was a bit more... That was a bit better," Mr Perrottet replied.
"But look, I just want everyone to go out and have fun and enjoy the day, because you've earned it. And, you know, have a beer."
