The public meeting was originally scheduled to be held at Laurieton United Services Club on October 25, but will now be pushed back until 4pm on Thursday, December 2.
The Camden Haven Community at 3 is a not for profit registered charity that is faith based and serves the community by providing support for the homeless, the lonely and those in social need.
Chairperson Theo Hazelgrove said the meeting was reconsidered due to NSW guidelines on vaccinated residents and in the interests of the entire community.
"We have found that a number of key people who would like to attend the public meeting in October are not yet fully vaccinated and therefore cannot attend the club or any other venue," he said.
"Sadly we have had to make the decision to defer the meeting until the community is fully open and no one is left behind.
"In consultation with LUSC, the public meeting will now run from 4pm to 5.30pm on Thursday, December 2."
Further information or to confirm attendance, people can contact Brian on 0439 569 992 or Theo 0438 358 057.
Mr Hazelgrove has previously highlighted the urgent need for assistance for homeless people in the Camden Haven.
"In the last calendar year there were 85 people who were homeless and requested assistance from Community at 3," he said.
"The Community at 3 are looking to extend their role in the local community by providing a safe and secure venue to provide short and mid-term housing for individuals and families who find themselves in need of crisis housing.
"We are looking to purchase an accommodation property in the Camden Haven that will meet the current and future needs of our community."
