Smith set a lightning pace to claim the men's division despite the choppy conditions while Myers was too good in the masters division.
Wauchope-Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club's director of surf sports Elaine Walker said it was pleasing to see a Hastings competitor take out the masters event.
"Raelene is our local legend, is really good and wins gold medals at Aussies all the time," she said.
"We were a little bit concerned because the weather forecast wasn't looking very good in the lead-up to it, but on the day it turned out really well.
"It was a bit windy and choppy, but nothing too bad. It was good."
In total 49 competitors took to the ocean from the under-17 to masters divisions after the youth event was cancelled due to the challenging surf conditions.
"That's almost double what we had last year," Walker said.
