The surfing club in the Camden Haven runs a unique contest format with progressive point scores over the entire year.
Annabelle Broderick was received the rookie award of 2021 at the Mid North Coast Girls Surfriders Special Awards. April Styles was named club person, Lola Styles was named most improved short board and Phebe Lockhard was named as most improved long board.
Ellie Fallon recieved the award for most improved Mini Mal, most improved beg caddy was Juanita Villagran-Eichmann and most improved caddy opt was Emelia Begg.
Surfriders president and contest director Joanne Astorini said the club prides itself on promoting surfing, fun, fitness and friendship regardless of ability and in a non-threatening environment.
"We are all excited, eager and refreshed ready for another year of fun filled surfing and adventures, following COVID SAFE protocols and procedures," she said.
"We have our registration day being held at Rainbow Beach, Bonny Hills adjacent to the children's playground on Sunday, February 6 2022 between 8am and 10am.
"Our contest director and committee will be there to answer all public questions. Following our registration is our club's annual general meeting commencing at 10am. Current, new and old members are all invited to attend.
"The last year was a challenging year due to COVID lockdowns but we didn't let that stop us. We were able to surf eight monthly competitions to determine our champions for 2021."
Members can surf in categories for 12 and under, intermediate short board, open short board, Mini Mal open, long board intermediate and long board open.
Membership for 2022 is now open via the Live Heats website.
Membership fees for 2022 are $60 per year and monthly competition fee of $5, however there are family prices available.
