The first 2022 orchid show on the New South Wales calendar was scheduled to be held at the Laurieton United Services Club on January 8 and 9.
The show traditionally features exhibits by growers from Camden Haven, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Taree, Wauchope and Forster areas and is judged for awards by a Mid North Coast judging panel.
Camden Haven Orchid Society spokesman John Matthews said wet weather and a lack of entries forced the postponement of the January show.
"We were able to run it last year but we also lost the spring show because of COVID guidelines. Over the last 12 months we have now lost about three shows to COVID," he said.
"There are also the after effects of the March floods in 2021 as many growers are still recovering and trying to get back on their feet.
"We will instead look forward to the winter show held over the Queen's birthday weekend in June at the Laurieton United Services Club."
