Speakers discussed the ongoing support needed to help members of the public impacted by the March 2021 floods, at the Rotary meeting on Monday, January 24.
Founded in 2012, Aussie Battlers has been working hard with the help of members and volunteers to help individuals and families in our area.
Their work is dedicated to funding and delivering charitable services, striving to inspire and improve the lives of those who need assistance.
Their goals include to ensure that the most vulnerable and at-risk groups in the Mid North Coast area have their basic needs taken care of, from hunger to warmth and just a little support.
They spend a significant portion of their resources on feeding families in the Mid North Coast area, supporting the community after natural disasters including our local firefighters and helping the homeless.
They raise most of their funds from donations and accepting excess items, which are distributed to needy people or used to purchase requested items they cannot source.
Their website organises items of clothing or household goods that have been donated and can be bought to provide funding.
They can be contacted on 0460 688 750 and at their shop 1/81 Bold Street, across from Coles in Laurieton.
