A South Australian massage therapist, who previously suggested her "tonics" could cure cancer, has been banned from providing advice about COVID-19 or coronavirus vaccines after a complaint about her Facebook posts.

Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner Grant Davies has issued a prohibition order against Monika Milka who offers massage and homeopathy services in Gawler, north of Adelaide.
She was subject to an investigation after a complaint about false statements in her posts between June 25 and July 26 last year which subsequently found she had breached the code of conduct for certain healthcare workers.
The ban, which came into force on Tuesday, prohibits Ms Milka from providing health services, education and information related to COVID-19 and vaccines.
It will remain in force until revoked or varied.
Professor Davies said his primary concern in imposing the ban was to ensure the health and safety of South Australians.
"In February 2016, Ms Milka was also prohibited from suggesting her tonics were able to cure cancer," he said.
"Anyone given treatment information by Ms Milka should know she is required to substantiate the efficacy of any treatments, tonics or services she provides."
