The branch titles will encompass craft, surf and beach events for ages from 15 years to masters. Competitors from the 8 clubs in the branch stretching from Camden Haven to Macksville-Scotts Head will take part.
Camden Haven SLSC vice president and carnival director Linda Hoffman is pleased that the Camden Haven SLSC has been invited to conduct this prestigious event "it's an honour to be given the opportunity to run this event and this is a very exciting time for the club," says Linda.
Club Secretary Rowena Bennett states that, "club members have been buoyed by this. It's a great honour to conduct a Branch Carnival and our members and the community will work with Linda to ensure that this is yet another great event for the Camden Haven.
Chamber and local businesses were great supporters of our club when we ran the King of the Mountain Event in August and we will be liaising with chamber in an attempt to maximise the local business opportunities that the influx of competitors and their supporters will bring to town.
The announcement caps a big week for the Camden Haven SLSC who also received state government funding of over $28,000 to purchase an all terrain vehicle to replace the clubs old and ailing tractor, affectionately known as "Dolly".
