It was one of the most memorable victories in Bomber history as the tenacious 13s came from behind at every quarter to kick the match-sealing goal only seconds from the full time siren.
Matt Prendergast was captain and worked hard with the centres, Casey Morgan, Declan Attenborough, Kayla Mateer, Chaz Wiegold and Kain Everett.
Prior to the centre taking charge, it was the solid defence of the backs that kept the Bombers in the game with Bryce Myers, Zach Xerri and Reuben Gammon.
Brodie Myers also stood up when it counted taking a great mark and Layton Gray was busy as usual.
It was fitting that Declan kicked the winning goal in a best-on-ground performance taking responsibility for the forward momentum and working himself to a standstill.
The Bombers will host the preliminary finals this Sunday at Laurieton Oval with the 15s and 13s represented for the local club.
In senior action, the LUSC reserve graders went down fighting last Saturday losing by two goals to the Port Magpies, thus ending the chance for back to back reserve grade titles.
The Bombers piled on the points in the final quarter but Port were too strong and will take on Sawtell in the AFLNC grand final, it will be Coffs Swans v Sawtell in the first grade decider.
For the Bombers, the young generation stepped up for coach Jason Swain and showed the future for the club is bright.
Jared Taylor was outstanding, Luke Boxhall continues to improve, and Darby Bennett threw himself into the contest playing with a black armband in honour of his grandmother's passing last week.
Gary Martin selflessly stood down on the match eve to allow the younger players a kick.
"There is a big future for the club and the spirit these guys showed against great odds over the last month of the season shows me how much their weekend footy means to them," coach Swain said.
