The Stunned Mullet will cater a waterside VIP marquee for beer and cider lovers looking for a fancy day out.

The package includes and five course set luncheon cooked by head chef David Henry and his team, and five serving of beer or cider selected to compliment each meal.

Fun will continue for the whole family as Westport Park transforms into a bustling festival.

The games area will be bursting with activities to keep kids of all ages entertained with a jumping castle, Bocce set up, giant Jenga play, plus lots more.

For the “big kids” Jason Clifton highlighted the keg toss and additional keg roll competitions.

“The most exciting part of the day will be the inaugural Mid North Coast Beer Keg Toss. 

“Inspired by the long tradition of the highland games, the beer keg toss relies on a combination of technique, timing and pure power to succeed. We’re looking for the best male and best female to take out $600 in cash and prizes,” he said.

The keg roll will see festival-goers test their agility as they roll a keg around various obstacles.

“There will be an individual and a corporate keg roll competition. In the corporate teams of four compete relay style for a chance at a place in the finals. 

“Competitors should register early on our website,” he said.

Port Macquarie’s Beer and Cider Festival will most importantly showcase a “spectacular” mixing pot of brews with over fifty different beers and ciders represented, from local and Australian-wide brewers.

“The event presents a unique opportunity for the Port Macquarie community to engage the rapidly trending craft beer and cider craze and efficaciously sip the love, blood, sweat and tears poured into each barrel by incredibly enthusiastic brewers,” said organiser Scott Mesiti.

The festival will commence at 11am and a special bus timetable will ensure attendees can enjoy the afternoon of tastings without having to worry about driving home.
