It started as visit to the Manning Entertainment Centre to speak to theatre manager Jeremy Miller and MidCoast Council’s director of Community Spaces and Services Paul De Szell regarding coverage for White Ribbon Day and the issue of domestic violence and violence towards women.
Coincidentally, four more men arrived at the theatre at the same time and were more than happy to be involved too.
They were United Services Union (USU) organiser Damien Welsh, electrician for MidCoast Council Bret Menser, USU delegate for MidCoast Council (Gloucester branch) Jeff Blanchard, and senior reporting officer for Taree Airport and MidCoast Council Merv Emerton (not pictured).
All men took the White Ribbon Day oath, which was recorded and can be viewed below.
