It is great when our community turns out in such great numbers to walk across the Stingray Creek Bridge.

It has been a long while coming and it is great when it finally gets here.
Sometime in the next few months it will be open to traffic in both directions and work will start on the demolition of the old bridge.
Works are progressing on the construction of the new Kew Waste Transfer Station (WTS) with completion on track for early 2017.
Once operational, the WTS will service households disposing of car boot and trailer loads of household and greenwaste, including general mixed waste, co-mingled recyclables, e-waste, small quantities of hazardous waste, mattresses, oil, metals and construction and demolition waste.
When you turn on the tap and water comes out, we don't stop to think about the important infrastructure that exists behind the tap.
At our last council meeting (14/12/16) we took a small but important step by delegating to the general manager the authority to arrange easements for the future Southern Arm Trunkmain.
This will improve the long term security of our water supply in the Camden Haven.
I would like to wish you and your family all the best for 2017.
