The workshops held on February 16-19 focus on advancing performance and playing skills for string players with eminent Australian music educator Fintan Murphy leading development of playing techniques and ensemble performance.
Attendance to workshops is free courtesy of generous support by the Kendall Community Op Shop which is making these exceptional opportunities available to local musicians and teachers.
The achievements of the workshops will be presented in a free performance at the Kendall School of Arts on Sunday, February 19 at 2pm featuring the Geist String Quartet, an exciting string quartet of emerging young Australian artists, four musicians from the National Orchestra of Samoa and the ensemble of resident musicians.
All are welcome and admission is free.
