Kendall Music Exchange has put a shout out for performances for the open mic section of their event on Friday night.
The open mic section kicks off at 7pm in the Kendall Community Hall.
There is a minimum of six places only available and each performer is allocated two numbers, organisers said.
“To register your interest your can put your name on the board to secure your place,” said the organisers.
While the emphasis on the night is about giving people the chance to perform, there is also a featured artist to each event.
This week guest artists will be Wendy and Mike.
“Mike has been playing guitar for 30 years, and plays various styles to accompany Wendy,” the organisers said.
“The couple have a mixed play list of jazz, blues, 70’s pop and some contemporary country.
“The duo are equally happy playing at restaurants, clubs, private functions, markets, and their classy style is enjoyed by young and old.”
Previous performers have included Phoenix who received rave reviews from their efforts.
“Phoenix were skillful with their beautifully blending voices were met with long and very sincere applause.”
The guest artists on Friday May 5 are CHUMS – the Camden Haven Ukulele Musicians led by the patient and talented leader Khristina Joy.
On Friday night, doors open at the Kendall Community Hall at 6.30pm, with six performers on open stage from 7pm. Tea, coffee and nibblies are provide before the main performance.
Entry is by donation, Kendall Music Exchange operates as a not for profit community activity.
