Satisfy your senses and warm your soul at ‘All for Song and Song for All’ – an eclectic musical concert presented by the Kendall and Wauchope Community Choirs. The concert will also feature three talented young instrumentalists performing solo repertoire.
The Kendall and Wauchope Community Choirs were formed earlier this year under the musical direction of Rose Wilson. They rehearse weekly during school terms, and experiment with a wide variety of music.
“In this concert, we will get to hear the best of all three worlds – the choirs performing separately and together. In the mix, you’ll hear some Irish ‘mouth music’, a Scottish folk song, some 70s pop, some Ray Charles, some African music and more,” said Ms Wilson.
The three featured instrumentalists are Natasha Marshall (piano), Ambrose Kranitis (clarinet) and Elijah Hargraves (saxophone).
Natasha Marshall is a Year 10 student at St Columba Anglican School. She is currently preparing for her Associate Diploma of Music Australia examination (AMusA) and is taught piano by Lydia Wills.
Ambrose and Elijah are both Year 12 students at Hastings Secondary College Port Campus. They are studying the advanced Music 2 course and Extension in Performance for their HSC and are students of Carol Irving.
