The $1.5 million funding comes under round three of the Federal Coalition Government’s Bridges Renewal Program.
"This is a major shot in the arm for Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and will help fast track many important projects in the local roads and bridges program," Dr David Gillespie said.
"Over the past couple of months, I have had a number of meetings with my ministerial colleague, the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Darren Chester, advocating on behalf of our local council some of our key road and bridge priorities and I am delighted our local area has been particularly recognised in this latest round of funding.
The 14 bridge projects worth $16.7 million brings to 19 the number of successful projects in the Lyne electorate worth a total of $20 million since the Coalition Government introduced the program.
