On Sunday September 25 at 1pm, a fire was reported at Innes View Road, eight kilometres west of Comboyne.
The flames and embers spread and 100 firefighters, 30 engines and water-bombing helicopters have been working tirelessly. Fortunately no-one was injured and at least eight homes were saved.
However Stuart Robb of NSW Rural Fire Service says the fire remains uncontained, and has burnt over 1,000 hectares.
“Two homes and three sheds were impacted by fire late yesterday afternoon,” he said.
Some burnt trees have fallen on the roads and strong winds are making conditions difficult for the firefighters.
