Camden Haven High School students who form the band Nana Klumpp are jet setting to Melbourne after winning the senior category of the RockFest competition on Tuesday, May 22.

The music competition was hosted by Camden Haven High School and with the aim to provide high school students with the opportunity to perform contemporary music live in front of their peers, friends and teachers.
Robert Courtenay-Morris, Jesse Hinder, Ronan Bailey and Aaron Cace-Gully make up the winning indie rock band and they wowed the judges with their impressive sound.
Band member Jesse described the win as ‘awesome’. The group will play at the RockFest national final in Melbourne on August 30.
Jesse said he and the others were working on some new material, which they hope to perform at the grand final.
The group got the opportunity to get some constructive feedback from the judges.
“They said we should try and add harmonies on the vocals so we are going to try and work on that,” Jesse said.
Jesse said he loved performing in front of his peers, which he said was always a ‘good time’.
“I’m always nervous, but sometimes it helps your performance if you’re a bit nervous,” he said.
A band from Nambucca Heads took out the junior division of the competition.
