The club received $18,500 through the NSW Government Clubgrants Category 3 program.
Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams made the announcement at the club on Sunday, January 27 in front of junior club members and their families.
Tacking Point Surf Club has also received $20,000 through the Clubgrants program.
Mrs Williams said the vehicles would enable the two local clubs to expand their rescue and first aid activities to remote parts of their respective local beaches.
“These new all-terrain vehicles will allow lifesavers to patrol parts of the beach that were previously too far to reach on foot so they can keep an eye on people outside of flagged areas,” she said.
“The vehicles will also speed up response times when lifesavers are needed to administer first aid, and also help them deliver sick or injured beach goers to ambulance services a lot faster.”
“Over the school holiday period thousands of locals and visitor flocked to local beaches, so it is critical that we provide our surf clubs with the best equipment possible to keep the public safe.”
Minister for Racing Paul Toole said the grant was funded through the Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants program.
“More than $50 million in funding is being provided during this current term of government for projects across sport and recreation, emergency preparedness, and arts and culture,” Mr Toole said.
The grants are funded by a contribution from the state’s registered clubs, to reinvest profits from gaming machines back into community projects.
