Chappy passed away at the end of April after he escaped from his residence.
Whiddon Laurieton hosted a special morning tea on Wednesday, May 29 in Chappy's memory. Staff, residents and children from Laurieton Early Education Centre attended.
The beagle joined the Whiddon family through a partnership with Camvet in March 2017. He brought joy to residents, families, friends and staff.
Chappy formed a strong bond with Whiddon resident Barb Beck and would take himself to her room in the mornings.
Barb said Chappy had a favourite chair in her room and she would feed him some biscuits while she sipped on her tea.
"I miss him a lot," she said.
Chappy's owner Brendon said he'll be greatly missed by his big brother Chase, the Camvet family and The Whiddon Group.
