The event was been organised by the Camden Haven Surf Life Saving Club and the Laurieton Hotel Fishing Club as a way to give back to the community and those who need a little assistance.
In 2019 the event was raising money for West Haven resident Yasmin Crane and her family as Yasmin battles cancer. Yasmin was diagnosed near Christmas time in 2018
President of the Fishing Club Troy Rudd said both clubs were happy to help.
"Our two clubs started this fundraiser a few years ago to give back to the community," Mr Rudd said.
"Both our clubs spend a lot of time on the water and to do something totally different we decided to host a bowls days to raise money for someone in need.
"In previous years we have raised money for the Laurieton Public School's P&C and last year we raised money to help Sam Goryan and her family as Sam was battling cancer as well.
"Yasmin, Bruce and the boys are like family to all of us and to be able to do something to help as Yasmin is going through cancer treatment means a lot to all of us."
