Residents have voiced their outrage after Pilot Beach was targeted by vandals last Friday, October 18.

One resident, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he was on his daily walk via the Pilot Beach Reserve when he came across the scene.
"Why do people people set about to deliberately destroy public property?," he said.
"Deliberate it was!
"They pulled out a huge concrete slab used to support the waste bin to gain vehicle access to the park's grassed areas.
"This was for the purpose of driving around at high speed tearing up the grass. which is struggling to survive our drought."
The Camden Haven resident said the perpetrators are cowards, operating under the cover of darkness.
"I say to them come back, stand by the upturned bin, look me in the eye and explain what was the purpose of this act of mindless vandalism?"
